Ruth Davidson opens MEP’s Constituency Office in Perth

Scottish Conservative Leader Ruth Davidson MSP has formally opened the new constituency office of Ian Duncan MEP in Perth city centre. Based on the first floor of 4 Kinnoull Street, the office has been up and running since the Spring, and will provide a base for Ian's work throughout Scotland, as well as hosting meetings with constituents and local and national organisations.

Commenting Ian said:

"As a local lad it was always my intention to open my office in Perth. Scottish politics is too often focused on Glasgow and Edinburgh, and I wanted to be based somewhere central but also accessible. The reception to basing the office in Perth has been hugely positive and I look forward to meeting as many constituents as possible.

"The key thing is that I am here to help, be it on fishing, farming or any of the other areas which the EU has responsibility. I am also aware that many people have questions around the upcoming referendum on EU membership, which I am keen to answer. Reform is well under way and I am extremely confident that David Cameron will negotiate a better deal for the United Kingdom in Europe. Whilst other parties have been late to the table in pushing for reform, we have consistently said that Europe needs to change and that is exactly what the Prime Minister will deliver."

"If you think I might be able to help on any issue, please contact my office."

Ruth Davidson MSP, Leader of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, said:

“As a former resident of the Fair City, I am delighted to be in Perth to open Ian Duncan’s constituency office. “Ian has already proved himself to be a hard-working and dedicated Member of the European Parliament since his election last year, and I hope this new constituency office will allow him to be even more accessible to constituents, both in Perth and beyond. "Whether at local council, parliamentary or European level, Scottish Conservatives are working hard for people across Scotland."
